Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday (18 November) participated in the 3rd 'No Money for Terror' (NMFT) Ministerial Conference on Counter-Terrorism Financing. Addressing the conference, Amit Shah said that we believe that the menace of terrorism cannot and should not be linked to any religion, nationality, or group.

The third ministerial conference on counter-terrorist financing on the theme 'No Money for Terror' is being organized at Hotel Taj Palace in Delhi. Union Home Minister Amit Shah further said that terror funding is more dangerous than terrorism itself. Terrorism is the gravest threat to global peace and security and giving protection to terrorists is tantamount to promoting terrorism.

Terrorists are using the dark net

He said terrorists are constantly finding new ways to perpetrate violence, radicalize youth and raise financial resources. Terrorists are using the dark net to hide their identities and spread radical content.

Shah said that undoubtedly, terrorism is the most serious threat to global peace and security, but I believe that the financing of terrorism is more dangerous than terrorism because such financing feeds the 'means and methods of terrorism. Apart from this, Terror Funding weakens the economy of the countries of the world.

attack on Pakistan

Amit Shah said that India has made significant progress in strengthening the security infrastructure as well as legal and financial systems to counter-terrorism. Indirectly attacking Pakistan, the Union Home Minister said that unfortunately, some countries want to weaken and destroy the collective efforts to fight terrorism.

The Union Home Minister said that giving protection to terrorists is equivalent to promoting terrorism. It is our collective responsibility that such elements and such countries never succeed in their intentions. He said that after August 2021, there has been a lot of change in the situation in the South Asian region. Regime change and the growing influence of Al Qaeda, and ISIS have emerged as a significant challenge to regional security. New equations have made the problem of terror funding more serious.
