Filmmaker Boney Kapoor himself was embroiled in legal trouble as a vendor accused him of not paying a bill of Rs 1 crore for the supply of equipment during the making of the film 'Maidaan'. Now the court's decision has come on this and the court has ordered Boney Kapoor to pay the outstanding money as soon as possible.

 

The court gave this order

A local court in Mumbai announced in its judgment that Boney should be paid Rs 96 lakh for the services provided to him. "The Honorable Court directs the defendants to furnish security of a sum of Rs. 96,06,743, so that when required the property or its value or such part thereof may be produced at the disposal of the Court to satisfy the decree. Might be enough.

 

 

This was written in the statement

Following the decision, the vendors released an official statement, which read, "Boney Kapoor has refused to pay interest even after withholding payments for more than 2 years. Called his demand for our fair dues blackmailing. Was gone. But in the end, what is right will always win and we have also won."

 

Said this for the people of the industry

The statement further read, "I hope that people in this industry understand that no one should be taken advantage of or bullied and should fight for what is rightfully theirs when they have worked so hard for it." If they do, they should get what they deserve."
