Amit Shah warned Mamata on CAA Union Home Minister Amit Shah has given a big statement today regarding CAA. Shah said that no matter what anyone does, the CAA law will never be withdrawn. He said that it is our sovereign right to ensure Indian citizenship in our country, and we will never compromise on this.
Gave a warning to Mamata
In an interview with news agency ANI, Union Home Minister Amit Shah also hit back at West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's statement on the CAA notification. Shah said, "The day is not far when BJP will come to power in West Bengal and stop infiltration.
Shah gave this message
Shah further said that if Mamata does politics on this issue and stands against such an important national security issue, then it is very wrong. He said that Mamata allows infiltration by doing appeasement politics and opposes CAA. Shah said that if the refugees do not get citizenship, they will not live with them. Mamata Banerjee does not know the difference between a refugee and an infiltrator.
It is impossible to cancel CAA
Amit Shah said that CAA has been brought by the Modi government and it is impossible to repeal it. He accused the opposition leaders of indulging in "appeasement politics". Shah questioned the opposition and asked, do they had the right to refuse to implement it.
They also understand that they do not have rights. In our Constitution, only the Parliament has been given the right to make laws regarding citizenship. This is a central subject, not a state subject.
The opposition had criticized
Let us tell you that the Center notified the rules for the implementation of CAA earlier this week. The bill was passed by Parliament in December 2019.
After the Center notified the rules for CAA implementation, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, and Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan criticized the law and said they would not implement it in their states. The Congress criticized the Center over the timing of the implementation of the CAA, saying the rules have been deliberately notified ahead of the Lok Sabha elections to be held in April-May this year.
