The case of the disappearance of a couple who had come to Meghalaya from Indore, Madhya Pradesh for a honeymoon is in discussion. When the couple went missing on 23 May, it was believed that the husband and wife could not be traced due to dense forests and low population in the Sohra area of Meghalaya. Now this matter has become more complicated. The body of the missing youth was found in a 150-foot-deep ditch on June 2 (Monday). The wife of the youth is still missing. The Meghalaya Police, which has been investigating the case for 12 days, has also not been able to solve the mystery. The police and the government say that the difficult climb to the place where the couple went missing and the bad weather in the entire area have made the search operation very difficult.

The case got complicated after the information of death.

The case of the disappearance of this Indore couple got more complicated after Raja's body was found. In fact, amid heavy rains, the Meghalaya Police found Raja's body through drones. His body was badly decomposed and the face was not recognizable. The family identified the body through a tattoo. However, even after searching around Raja's body, Sonam could not be found. The family said that if Sonam was safe, she would have contacted someone herself, but there is no trace of her.

Not only this, Raja's body was found at a place called Voisadong. SDRF, the Special Operation Team, and a Mountaineering Club were also involved in this search operation. The place where the body was found in Voisadong is 25 kilometers away from the location of the scooty hired by Raja and Sonam. This distance increased suspicion in the case. Neither Raja's mobile nor purse nor the gold chain and ring worn by Raja was found near his body. Only his smartwatch was found tied to the wrist.

Raja's postmortem report made a sensational revelation.

Raja's postmortem report revealed marks of attack with a sharp weapon on the body. The bones of the body were also broken due to throwing the body in the ditch. Shillong SP Vivek Sim confirmed this. The police also found the weapon used in Raja's murder - Dao - from the crime scene, which was confiscated. Apart from this, forensic experts have also continued the search in the surrounding areas. According to the police, this Dao looks brand new, which raises the suspicion that it must have been bought with the intention of murder.

A phone call created a problem in the last location.

Meanwhile, the investigators are trying to gather evidence in the case through a phone call made by the couple to the family. In this phone call, Sonam was first heard talking to Raja's mother. After this, Raja himself also talked to his mother.

In this call, Sonam said that Raja had brought them to a dense forest, where there was a steep climb. In this call, Sonam was breathing heavily, due to which it is believed that both of them had reached a high place. On the other hand, Raja had said that he drank coffee at one place but threw it away as he did not like it and now he is eating bananas. He will return after this. The last conversation took place at 1:43 pm on the day he went missing.

Which angle is the police investigating now?

A woman's white shirt has been found near Raja's body. The police are investigating whether this shirt is Sonam's or someone threw it in the ditch.

The police are now trying to find out how Raja Raghuvanshi reached the spot after leaving his scooter and who took him there.

The police also found a stained black raincoat during the investigation. This raincoat was on Mawkama Road in Sohra. It is believed to be Sonam's. There are some stains on it too. The raincoat has been sent to the forensic lab to check whether it is blood or not. However, its size is XXXL, which is quite big.
