Troubled by the tightening grip of security forces in the Kashmir Valley, terrorist organizations are once again planning a fidayeen attack. Mujahideen Gajwatul Hind (GHM) has taken the responsibility of repeating the Pulwama attack. At the same time, the security forces, who have taken the initiative to uproot the roots of terrorism from Kashmir, are keeping an eye on every terrorist conspiracy. After the process of target killing started in Kashmir, the police and army have instructed to keep an eye on every activity by further activating their information systems. Due to this alertness, a very big fidayeen attack in Kashmir was averted before it happened. Not only this, Amir Riyaz, a terrorist of Mujahideen Gazwatul Hind, who was going to carry out this fidayeen attack, was killed by the security forces in the Srinagar encounter.
IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar himself revealed that Mujahideen Gajwatul Hind terrorist Amir Riaz was given the responsibility of the fidayeen attack in Kashmir. He was planning to attack the security forces or in a crowded area. He got information about this in time. Amir Riyaz was traced in time by the SOG personnel of the Police, 28 Battalion of the Army, and CRPF 115 Battalion. He was hiding in the Bemina area of Srinagar. The security forces gave him a chance to surrender but he refused and continued firing on the security forces. He was killed in retaliation.
Riyaz, a resident of the Khiryu area of district Pulwama, was a relative of a terrorist who carried out the Pulwama fidayeen attack in February 2019. IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that he was given the responsibility of carrying out a similar attack. That's why he came to Srinagar.
IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that 135 terrorists have been killed by security forces in 69 encounters in Jammu and Kashmir since January. Top commanders of terrorist organizations like Hizbul Mujahideen, Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, The Resistance Front, etc. have been killed by the slain terrorists.
