The process of admission has started in the degree colleges affiliated with Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University in Kanpur. Except for PPN and Christ Church Degree College, all other colleges will be given direct admission. The degree colleges have not even waited for the results of CBSE and CISCE to regularize the session. However, every year the seats remain vacant even after the completion of the admission process. This time the admission process has started in some colleges on June 23, while in some it will start from the first week of July.
DAV College
The admission process for undergraduate, and postgraduate in DAV Degree College started on June 23. Principal Prof. Arun Dixit told that the application forms are being received from the Civil Lines branch of Padma Tower of Yes Bank. Admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis. There are 2100 seats in Science, 1200 in Arts and 1200 in Commerce. He says that no last date has been fixed for the admission process yet.
Harsahai Degree College
Admissions will start from the first week of July at Harsahai Degree College. Principal Dr. Amar Srivastava told that the admission process will continue throughout July. The form will be available from the college and direct admission will be given. There are 240 seats in commerce, 300 in science, and 120 seats in arts.
Christ Church College
Admission to Christ Church Degree College will be done on merit. The list will be released after all the board results are out. The registration process has started in the college. The application process will be online. Students have to register by visiting the college website. Even if the result of class XII has not come, you can get registered. You will be able to update the registration form after the result is out. Admission Incharge Dr. DC Srivastava told that there are 400 seats in B.Com, 360 in BA, and 480 in B.Sc.
PPN Degree College
The admission process to PPN Degree College will start in the first week of July. The colleges have 480 seats in science, 420 in arts, and 180 in commerce. Principal Dr. Anoop Singh told that admission will be done based on Merit only. Students can fill out the form by visiting the website. The process to regularize the session will start in July.
