Five-time champions Mumbai Indians started their training camp almost two weeks before the start of the IPL. Some stars like captain Hardik Pandya and Arjun Tendulkar have joined this camp. The Mumbai franchise has shared a video of Arjun in which he is seen bowling in full rhythm to the left-handed batsman. In the nets, Arjun bowled an excellent yorker ball on a straight leg to the batsman, due to which the batsman lost his balance and fell to the ground. Many social media users believe that he is batsman Ishan Kishan. Ishan has been in the news for some time regarding red-ball cricket.
Ishan's name missing
After this, Arjun throws another ball which falls between the legs of the left-handed batsman. Even the batsman is surprised to see these balls. However, Mumbai Indians released the list of players who took part in the practice session and Ishan Kishan's name was missing in it. Mumbai Indians said in a press release, 'The team started their first practice session with a grilling session in the nets in which captain Hardik Pandya, Gerald Coetzee, Shreyas Gopal, Nehal Wadhera, Akash Madhwal, Arjun Tendulkar, Vishnu Vinod, Shivalik Sharma, Naman Dheer, Anshul Kamboj were among the other players who practiced at the CCI ground.
Arjun was included in their team by Mumbai in 2021, but it took two years for him to debut. Arjun played a total of four matches for the franchise in IPL 2023. Looking at his performance in the nets, Arjun may remain in the playing eleven for a long time this time. The 17th season of IPL will start on March 22, in which defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will face Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at their home ground.
Last year's runners-up Gujarat Titans and five-time champions Mumbai Indians will face each other in Ahmedabad on March 24. Star all-rounder Pandya's move to his former franchise MI after two brilliant seasons with GT had created quite a stir. Shubman Gill has taken over the captaincy of GT. Now Hardik's first match with MI against his former franchise is going to be very interesting.
