The 'Mission Impossible franchise has always been more about action and intrigue than story. Ethan Hunt and his team, Ilsa Faust, Luther Stickell, and Benji Dunn, are up against a threat the likes of which they've probably never faced and are unprepared for. The film's director Macquarie shot the action scenes as well as the emotional scenes very effectively. Esai Morales as Gabriel disappoints a bit in the film. He has proven to be a weak villain as Esai Morales, playing the face of a dangerous AI, especially after watching Henry Cavill in 'Mission Impossible - Fallout' where his character seems to be weak.
