New Delhi: Amidst the Taliban occupation and chaos in Kabul, the evacuation of Indian Embassy staff and ITBP personnel was no less than a difficult operation. In the hope of returning to India, senior officials, security staff, and people, including the Indian ambassador, spent the whole night awake.

 

 

Sources tell that during the blockade of the Taliban fighter, efforts were made to assemble the Indian people safely. After that, I was tasked to reach the airport safely. The Indian Air Force's C-17 aircraft, which arrived in Kabul on Monday evening, was supposed to leave late in the night, but the evacuation mission had to be stopped amid Taliban guards and the ongoing chaos in the city. Due to this, Air Force aircraft and pilots also spent the night at Kabul airport intense situation.

 

 

Meanwhile, from coordination with US officials controlling Kabul airport to talks between US Secretary of State Tony Blinken and National Security Adviser Jack Sullivan in Washington, the Indian Foreign Minister, and National Security Adviser did not play a single voice. Along with this, it was also ensured by liaising with Taliban groups that the Indian team could reach the airport without any damage. During this, the most difficult task was to take them out from different places and bring them to one place. It was done with great care.

 

 

However, the difficulties can be gauged from the fact that it took more than 3 hours to cross the road of just 20 minutes. The blockade of Taliban fighters stopped their vehicles several times in between. During this, the biggest challenge and danger was that any incident could become a threat to the entire operation. In such a situation, the responsibility of the security of the people and citizens of the mission was on the ITBP personnel who were posted in the security of the mission.

 

 

 

Only after getting the green signal after about half the convoy of vehicles left the mission and reached the airport after a difficult journey. Where some people were already present. Keeping your people safe amidst the chaos at the airport was also no less than a challenge. Especially in such a situation when it is also difficult to find out who is in abusive disguise. By fencing the ring properly, people were kept safe until the security check was completed and people did not board the plane.

 

 

When everyone boarded the plane at around 7 in the morning, the people coordinating this evacuation operation in Delhi also heaved a sigh of relief. At around 7:30, this aircraft took off by the Indian Air Force aircraft. However, the concerns persisted until the Indian aircraft came out of the Afghan airspace.
