A record 50,196 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Germany on Thursday. This is the first time since the start of the epidemic that Germany has crossed the 50 thousand mark. There have been 235 deaths here in the last 24 hours. At the same time, Germany's top virologist Christian Drosten has expressed the possibility of 1 lakh deaths in the coming days.

Drosten called it an emergency and said – we have to take immediate action. Describing the study done on the UK strain of Corona, he said that the virus has become fatal as well as being contagious. Doctors say this could be the worst wave ever. In recent days, there has been an increase in infections and deaths.

A prohibition from attending public events

The infection rate here is the highest in the state of Saxony. In the last 7 days, 459 cases have been registered per 1 lakh people. This state has banned un-vaccinated people from attending bars, restaurants, public events. Due to the vaccination rate being less than 70%, the government is asking people to get the vaccine. Un-vaccinated people will be at the highest risk of getting infected in the coming months.

After the general elections of September, there has been a surge in the cases of Korana in the country. Many political parties are against compulsory vaccination. They say that after coming to the government, they will not impose any lockdown.

Rapidly increasing cases in Europe

So far 25.22 crore people have been infected with corona worldwide. At the same time, a total of more than 50.9 lakh people have lost their lives due to this epidemic. Along with Germany and Britain, Corona is once again spreading in countries like the Netherlands, Poland, and Russia. These are the countries that have fully vaccinated about two-thirds of their population. In Britain too, more than 30 thousand cases are being reported continuously. Around 1200 people have died in Britain and more than 950 in Germany in the last week. Belgium's Health Minister Frank Vanderbrook has also admitted that his country is facing a fourth wave of the corona.
