PM Narendra Modi on Saturday launched the Prime Minister Jai Health Scheme in Jammu and Kashmir. Under this scheme, all families of Jammu and Kashmir will get a health insurance cover of five lakh rupees. In this program of health, Modi talked about the development of democracy, Kashmir and also took opponents on target.
The Prime Minister said that this card will not be limited to hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir only. Thousands of hospitals connected under this scheme in the country, you will also get this facility. Suppose you have been to Mumbai and you need this card in Mumbai if you need it suddenly. This card will also work in Chennai. The hospitals there will also provide free service. If you have been to Kolkata, then it will be difficult, because the government there is not connected to the Ayushman scheme. Some people are there, what to do!
Those who took advantage of the scheme told their experience
Modi spoke to two people who took advantage of the scheme. He said that those words for which we work get satisfaction, then these words give a lot of strength for the poor to work more hard. All facilities should reach every people, this is the commitment of our government. E golden cards were also given to the beneficiaries in the program.
Cancer sufferer Ramesh Lal of Jammu told that all 5 members of my family have Ayushman Bharat Golden Card. We are thankful to PM Modi for this scheme. If I did not have a card, it would have been difficult to get treatment.
6 things of PM Modi's speech
1. We are moving forward with Atalji's message
Today is a very historic day for Jammu and Kashmir. The people of this place are going to get the benefit of Ayushman Yojana. I am very happy to see people taking these steps. Many congratulations to LG Manoj Sinha and his team. It would have been better if this program could have been held on the day ie Atalji's birthday. Due to some busyness, this could not happen. Atalji has always been giving us messages about humanity, Jamuriyat, and Kashmiriyat. We are moving ahead with these only.
2. People got the rights, we were out of the government on this issue
Gandhiji's dream was fulfilled by the three-tier panchayat system in Jammu and Kashmir. We were once in power, we also had a Deputy Chief Minister. We had come out of this issue with the government to give the people their right, to conduct elections in every village. Today, the people who have been elected at the panchayat, district level, have been elected from among you. His and your joys and sorrows are the same. These people have been able to take your blessings on the strength of work, not names. The youth you have chosen will work for you, with you.
3. Hold elections within one year of becoming UT
These elections in Jammu and Kashmir showed how strong democracy is. Today I want to express my pain to the nation. Jammu and Kashmir conducted panchayat elections within a year of the formation of Union Territory. Some people in Delhi keep on interrupting Modi every day and night, I want to show them a mirror.
4. The people of the village should develop the village
Panchayat elections are not being held even after the Supreme Court order in Puducherry. The government there does not even have full faith in democracy. Local body elections were held in 2006 there. Then the term of the elected people came to an end in 2011. It has been so many years, panchayat elections are not being allowed in Puducherry. The Center is constantly trying to ensure that only the people of the village come forward in the development of the village.
5. Two cancer hospitals and AIIMS are being built
Two cancer hospitals and two AIIMS are being built in Jammu and Srinagar. 7 new medical colleges have been approved. The establishment of IIT and IIM in Jammu will be helpful for the students. In 7 decades, 3.5 thousand MW power was generated, we have added 3 thousand MW to it. We are also working on connectivity. Kissing the highest bridge of Chenab, whose head will not be elevated with pride. Work is also underway to complete the Banihal Tunnel by next year. This will strengthen tourism.
6. Buying apples through NAFED
What does Jammu have from apple to basmati. In lockdown also, we took care that farmers should not have trouble selling it. Now it is being procured through NAFED. We have purchased 1.2 million metric tons of apples. The money is going directly to the farmers' accounts. Continuous efforts are also being made for Apple's storage.
7. Full relaxation to security forces
Not only build bunkers in Samba, Rajouri, Kathua, but security forces are also exempted there. Earlier governments forced the people of Jammu and Kashmir and North-East to live in poverty. Such negative thinking has no place in the country. No region of the country will lag in the race for development. Let Jammu and Kashmir be developed, we have to continuously work for it. The tasks of the people of Jammu and Kashmir have remained incomplete, Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha and his team will complete those works.
