Monkeypox: Monkeypox spread the most in America-Europe, WHO chief gave big advice

Along with corona, now monkeypox is also spreading rapidly around the world. So far it has knocked in 78 countries. Most of its cases are being found in Europe and America. So far four patients have been found in India. Meanwhile, the head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has made a big deal. He said that misinformation about this disease is as deadly as the virus.

 

Due to the increasing cases of monkeypox around the world, fear is spreading like Corona about it. According to WHO, Europe and America are the most affected by this. In a discussion with the media in Geneva, WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus said that 95 percent of monkeypox cases have been found in these continents. Along with this, he stressed that misinformation about monkeypox is as dangerous as the virus. This can create an atmosphere of fear all over the world.

The WHO chief said that there is currently no such vaccine for monkeypox, which can be used for widespread vaccination of the common people around the world. However, vaccination against this infectious disease is being done in Europe, Canada, and America.

On the other hand, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has offered vaccine manufacturers to share important information about the monkeypox virus, to help them develop the vaccine.

So far four cases of monkeypox have been found in India. Of these, three have been found in Kerala and one in Delhi. 15 labs have been authorized for its testing.

 

Some countries have started vaccination against monkeypox, but the WHO has not yet taken any initiative for widespread vaccination.

 

WHO declared monkeypox a global health emergency last week. This is the biggest warning issued by this UN health body.
