Morbi Bridge Collapse case reached the Supreme Court, demanding the formation of a judicial commission under the supervision of a retired judge

The matter of the cable bridge collapse in the Morbi district of Gujarat has reached the Supreme Court. A petition has been filed in this regard in the top court. The petition has sought immediate direction to constitute a judicial commission under the supervision of a retired Supreme Court judge to initiate an investigation into the matter.

 

PM Modi's review meeting

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday held a review meeting with the officials in Gandhinagar regarding the bridge accident in Morbi. During this meeting, he inquired about the accident and directed me to provide full help to the injured. In the meeting, PM Modi also decided to declare state mourning in the state on November 2. He directed that there should be no laxity in the rescue and relief efforts.

 

Police arrested 9 people

The police on Monday arrested 9 people in connection with the death of people due to the collapse of the cable bridge over the Machhu river. The search for others continues. In this accident, 12 relatives of BJP MP Mohan Kundaria died.

 

PM Modi will come to Morbi today

PM Modi will come to Morbi today i.e. on Tuesday. Here he will meet the families of the victims. Earlier, he had canceled his roadshow. Congress had also postponed its Parivartan Yatra for a day. Several leaders reached Morbi to meet the victims.

 

SIT formed to investigate the accident

Rajkot Range Inspector General of Police Ashok Yadav said that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to investigate the accident. He said that two managers, two ticket clerks, two contractors, and three security guards of Orewa company have been arrested in the case.
