G20 Summit In Delhi: Metro parking will remain closed in Delhi from today till September 11, train will start at 4 am

The parking system on the Delhi Metro will remain closed till September 11 for the G-20 summit. With this, the operation of the metro will start from 4 am from 8 to 10 September. Metro train service on all corridors on time for three days for the convenience of the general public and for the transport of policemen, paramilitary forces, and others deployed to maintain security, law and order, traffic, and other necessary arrangements for the conference It has been decided to start two hours earlier.

 

Metro trains will be available on all lines at an interval of 30 minutes from 4 a.m. to 6 a.m. After 6 p.m., the Metro will run on all lines as per the normal timetable throughout the day. All the metro stations will be open to the general public on all three days. Due to security reasons, passengers will not be allowed to board and disembark only at the Supreme Court Metro station on September 9 and 10.

 

On the instructions of security agencies, entry and exit at some metro stations in the New Delhi district may be restricted for a limited period. Its prior information will be given to the passengers. Parking at Supreme Court, Patel Chowk, and Ram Krishna Ashram Marg metro stations will remain closed from 4 a.m. on September 8 to 12 noon on September 11. Parking will be available as usual at all other metro stations.

 

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) Principal Executive Director (Corporate Communication) Anuj Dayal said that necessary information related to the operation of the Metro will be given on the Delhi Metro Rail app and website as well as on X, Facebook, and Instagram. Passengers should plan their journey as per official information irrespective of any rumours.
