Amid rising cases of Kovid in China and Hong Kong, the US has said that Covid test will be mandatory for all passengers coming from China. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has said that the Kovid-19 infection has increased very rapidly in China. Therefore, it is mandatory for all travelers coming to the US from China, Hong Kong, and Macau to be Kovid-19 negative. American news channel ABC has given this information.
China is not giving the correct figure
The CDC stated that adequate and transparent information is not being provided amid the increase in corona cases in China, hence this step is being taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the US. It is known that many errors have been found in the Kovid data of China. According to data from China's National Health Commission, there have been only 5,241 deaths due to corona in the country since the epidemic began, while according to data from Johns Hopkins, there have been more than 16,000 deaths due to Kovid in China since the epidemic began. China has not disclosed any evidence of the new variant. The country has also been accused of underreporting the number of cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. The CDC said that starting January 5, international travelers arriving from China will be required to show negative reports for COVID-19 before entering the country.
A steady increase in the number of corona infections in China
According to an Australia-based publication, the death toll due to COVID in China has increased by 9,000 people per day. British-based research firm Airfinity has estimated that the death toll from COVID has doubled in China since it adopted the zero-COVID policy. At the same time, other officials have said that half of the passengers were found to be Corona positive on two flights coming from China. Public health experts told ABC News that while they understand the reason for the US move, it is not a practical long-term solution.
