More than 33 lakh people have been vaccinated in the country so far, Uttar Pradesh-Karnataka the highest vaccination

Today is the 15th day of the ongoing vaccination program against Corona. Under this, the first dose of vaccine has been given to more than 33 lakh people in the country so far. According to the Health Ministry, a total of 4 lakh 40 thousand 681 people were vaccinated till the 14th day of vaccination i.e. 7 pm on Friday. In this way 33 lakh 68 thousand 734 people have been vaccinated so far. Uttar Pradesh (4,31,879) and Karnataka (3,07,752) lead in the case of vaccination. It is followed by Rajasthan (2,73,866), Maharashtra (2,57,173) and Madhya Pradesh (2,22,193).

 

Side effects seen in 213 cases

According to the Health Ministry, 213 cases of Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFIs) were reported on Friday. However, no serious side effects have been seen so far from the vaccine. There have also been reports of death from some states, but vaccination is not the reason for any.

 

Fastest 1 million vaccination in India

India crossed the 1 million vaccination mark in just 6 days. It is the fastest one million vaccination record in the world. Earlier, it took 10 days for 1 million vaccination in the US. There, vaccination started on 14 December and 1 million vaccination was completed on 24 December. Vaccination began on 8 December in the UK and only 1.30 lakh people were vaccinated in the first week.

 

Vaccination in Andhra 6 days a week

The Health Ministry said that the maximum vaccination would be 6 days a week in Andhra and 5 days in Mizoram. At the same time, there will be vaccination in Goa, Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh two days a week.

 

4 days vaccination in these states

Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Dadar and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttarakhand and West Bengal will undergo vaccination 4 days a week.

 

3 days vaccination in these states

In Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Nagaland and Odisha are kept for vaccination drive only three days a week.

 

Vaccination started on 16 January

The first phase of vaccination in the country began on 16 January. It has 30 million frontline workers to be vaccinated. Covishield of Oxford-AstraZeneca and Covaxin of Bharat Biotech were approved for this. In the second phase, people over 50 years of age and those under the age of 50 who are suffering from serious diseases will be vaccinated.
