Amidst the already issued ban on the export of wheat and flour, the central government on Monday announced a ban on the export of maida, semolina, and whole flour. According to the guidelines issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on Monday, when traders of wheat flour, maida, and semolina will not be able to export them without a quality certificate.

On Monday, DGFA  said that there is no ban on the export of wheat flour, maida, semolina, and wholemeal flour, but the approval of the Inter-Ministerial Committee will be required for the export of these things.

According to the instructions issued by the government, this ban will be effective from the coming Sunday (August 14). In the notification issued by the government, it has also been said that from August 8 to August 14, those consignments of maida and semolina will be allowed to be exported on the ships on which loading has already started before the notification is issued.

According to the notification issued by the government, the approval for the export of shipments by the Inter-Ministerial Council will be available only after the quality certificate is issued by the Export Inspection Council of Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata.

Let us inform you that in May this year, the central government announced a ban on the export of wheat. During that time, due to the increase in the export of wheat, its prices started touching the sky in the domestic market. After that, in July, the government also imposed restrictions on the export of wheat flour. In the notification of DGFT issued on July 6, it was made mandatory to take the permission of the Inter-Ministerial Committee for the export of wheat flour. Now after the export of wheat flour, the government has decided to increase the strictness on the export of products like maida and semolina.
