Most Indians living in Canada: 4.31 lakh immigrants declared permanent residents, the highest annual increase in Canadian history

There is good news for those who dream of settling in Canada. Canada has raised the level of permanent resident planning for immigrants and has met this target in 2022. More than 431,000 immigrants were added to the permanent resident category in 2022 as part of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's plan to increase the country's skilled workforce.

 

This is the largest annual increase in Canadian history. According to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, the 2022 target set by the Trudeau government to make immigrants permanent residents has been met. This is far more than the 4 lahks in 2021.

 

About 1.4 million people of Indian origin in Canada

As per the 2016 report, there are about 1.4 million people of Indian origin in Canada. In 2021, 1 lakh Indians settled as temporary foreign workers.

 

Ontario has the largest number of Indians. Of the immigrants who came to Canada from 2016 to 2021, 18.65% were Indians. According to the statistics report, Ontario is the favorite place of Indians.
