Thimpu, Feb 6 (IANS) Bestselling author Chetan Bhagat, Bollywood actress Kalki Koechin, among several Bhutanese authors and scholars will attend the annual Mountain Echoes festival that will take place here between Aug 20-22, organisers said Friday.
An initiative of the India-Bhutan Foundation, in association with Siyahi literature promotion group, the festival will coincide with the year-long celebrations of Bhutan's fourth king, Druk Gyalpo Jigme Singye Wangchuck's 60th birthday.
The list of speakers in the sixth edition of the festival also include author Ashwin Sanghi, environment journalist and author Bahar Dutt, food writer Mayur Sharma, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani and many Bhutanese scholars and thinkers.
"Every year, the festival hosts writers, poets, visual artists, curators, film critics and commentators from the world over, who engage in cultural dialogue and interactions on myriad subjects," said a statement.
