India and neighboring Nepal are currently facing floods due to heavy rains. A large number of people have also lost their lives due to this disaster in both countries. The death toll from the floods in both countries has crossed 150. Officials said on Thursday that due to unseasonal heavy rains, many areas have been flooded, due to which people are facing a lot of trouble. The situation is that water has entered people's homes as well. In such a situation, the houses of many people have also been submerged in the flow of water.

 

State Disaster Management Department Secretary SA Murugesan said that Uttarakhand has been particularly badly affected due to this severe rain in India, in which 48 people have been confirmed dead. In Nainital, a popular tourist destination in the Himalayan state, the city's main lake breached its banks, submerging the main road. During this, there was damage to bridges and railway tracks. About 42 people have died in the south Indian state of Kerala last week. At the same time, at least 77 people have died in neighboring Nepal.

 

India's Home Minister Amit Shah will survey the flood-affected areas today. Due to this severe rain, the most devastation has occurred in the Kumaon division of Uttarakhand. After the death of four more tankers in Bageshwar, 53 have now died. At the same time, three Nepalese workers have died in the Pauri district of the Garhwal division. Talking about the damage, 15 bridges have been washed away in the Kumaon division, six highways are closed, 92 connectivity roads are closed, 217 houses and shops have been damaged and 68 thousand people have been rescued. At the same time, CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the estimated loss of about seven thousand crores is being told.
