India-China: China's share in India's imports decreased by 0.90 percent, and mobile phone imports fell by 55 percent

The share of Chinese goods in the country's total imports has declined by 0.90 percent. Its share was 16.5 percent in 2020-21, which came down to 15.4 percent in 20210--22. The goods that come more from China to India include the telecommunications and energy sectors. Sources said that due to Corona, there was more import of IT products and medical and scientific equipment from China to India. During the same period, exports from India to China have increased marginally to $21.25 billion. It was $21.18 billion a year ago. Whereas imports have increased from $ 65 billion in 2020-21 to $ 94.16 billion in 2021-22.

 

Third largest exporting country after the US, UAE

 

India's exports to China stood at $21.2 billion in 2021-22. It is the third-largest exporting country after the US and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Sources said mobile phone imports from China declined by 55 percent to $626 million in 2021-22. In the year before that, it was $1.4 billion.

 

 

HDFC Bank made loans expensive

 

Mumbai- Private sector bank HDFC Bank has made loans expensive. It has increased the MCLR for all periods by 0.20 percent. This will make housing, car, personal and other types of loans expensive. According to the bank website, now the MCLR rate will be between 7.70 to 8.25 percent. Last month, it made loans costlier by 0.35 percent.

 

IL&FS ordered to pay 1,925 crore borrowers

 

New Delhi. The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has asked IL&FS to return Rs 1,925 crore to the borrowers. The company has received an amount of Rs 2,407 crore from the Gurgaon Metro project. The three-member bench gave this order on a petition by Union Bank, Canara Bank, and Bank of India.

 

Energy production was up 26.58 percent in June

 

Coal-based power generation grew by 26.58 percent to 9,588 crore units in June. It was 7,574 crore units in the same month a year ago. In June, there was an increase of 17.73 percent in all types of electricity generation. However, there has been a decrease of 2.77 percent in comparison to May.
