Voting for the seventh phase of Lok Sabha elections is to be held on June 1. On this day, voting will also take place in PM Narendra Modi's Lok Sabha seat in Varanasi. Before the seventh phase of the elections, Narendra Modi targeted the opposition and said that the opposition had been abusing him for the last 24 years. In an interview given to the news agency ANI, PM Modi said that after being abused for the last 24 years, I have become abuse-proof. PM Modi further said, "One of our colleagues in Parliament had calculated and counted 101 cases of abuse, so whether there are elections or not, these people (opposition) believe that it is theirs to abuse and they are so desperate - They are disappointed that abusing and using abusive language has become their nature.
What did PM Modi say on the arrest of CM Kejriwal?
Prime Minister Modi also reacted to the arrest of CM Arvind Kejriwal. When PM Modi was asked, CM Arvind Kejriwal alleged that PM Modi decides who will go to jail. On this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "It would be better if these people read the Constitution, read the laws of the country, I do not need to say anything to anyone."
We do not have enmity in democracy: PM Modi
Prime Minister Narendra Modi further said, "We have good relations with the leaders of all political parties of India. We do not have enmity in a democracy. Now the question is whether I should manage my relations or worry about the fate of Odisha. Then I have chosen the path to sacrifice myself for the bright future of Odisha. If I have to sacrifice my relations for that, then I am ready."
Targeting CM Mamata Banerjee and TMC, PM Modi said, "TMC is fighting for survival in the Bengal elections. In the last assembly elections, we were 3 (MLAs) and the people of Bengal took us to 80 (MLAs). We got a huge majority in the last elections.
The Prime Minister further said, "This time, if there is any best-performing state in the whole of India, it is going to be West Bengal. BJP is getting maximum success in West Bengal. The election there is one-sided. The public is leading it. TMC's People are upset, murders are happening continuously. BJP workers are being jailed before the elections."
Opposition is lying on reservation: PM Modi
Amidst the Lok Sabha elections, the opposition is continuously accusing BJP that PM Modi will end reservation. When the Prime Minister was asked this question, he targeted the Congress and the opposition and said, "They have committed this sin. I am speaking against them and that is why they have to resort to such things to lie."
PM Modi lashed out at BJD
PM Modi targeted BJD and Naveen Patnaik. He said, "There has been no progress in Odisha for 25 years. The biggest concern is that there is a group of people who have taken over the entire system of Odisha. If Odisha comes out of those shackles then Odisha will bloom.”
He further said, "Odisha has so many natural resources, it is sad to see poor people in such a rich state. Odisha is one of the rich states of India. There is a lot of natural wealth and Odisha is also one of the poor people states of India. The government is responsible for this, the people of Odisha should get their rights. The expiry date of the present government of Odisha is 4th June."
Article 370 was the agenda of only 4-5 families: PM Modi
PM Modi also mentioned the changes in Kashmir after the removal of Article 370 from Kashmir. Prime Minister said, "On the decision to remove Article 370, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "Article 370 was the agenda of only 4-5 families, it was neither the agenda of the people of Kashmir nor the agenda of the people of the country. For his benefit, he had built a wall of 370 and used to say that if 370 was removed, there would be a fire.
PM Modi said that today it has become true that after the removal of 370, there is a feeling of more unity. The feeling of belongingness is increasing among the people of Kashmir and hence its direct result is visible in elections, and tourism also.
