Kohli has achieved many achievements in his career so far and is counted among the world's great batsmen. Kohli became the batsman to score a half-century of centuries in the 50-over format during the ODI World Cup last year. Kohli retired from T20 Internationals after winning the title in the T20 World Cup played in the USA and West Indies this year, but he still plays in ODIs and Tests. Kohli holds the record for scoring the fastest 13000 runs in ODIs. He did this feat in the 278th ODI match against Pakistan on 10 September 2023. In this case, Kohli is also ahead of former Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar who achieved this feat in 321 ODIs.

 

Most centuries scored in ODIs

Kohli holds the record for scoring the most centuries in the ODI format. Kohli has scored 13906 runs in 295 matches in this format so far. Kohli holds the record for scoring 50 centuries in ODIs. He also surpassed Sachin in this matter, who had scored 49 centuries in ODIs in his career.

 

Record for most half-centuries in T20

Kohli may have said goodbye to the international T20, but he holds the record for scoring the most half-centuries in this format. He is at the top in this matter along with former Pakistan captain Babar Azam. Kohli has scored 39 half-centuries in T20 Internationals.

Virat Kohli made his World Cup debut in the year 2011. Kohli scored a century in that match played against Bangladesh. He became the first Indian to score a century in his first World Cup match. At the same time, Kohli also holds the record of scoring the most centuries against a single team in ODIs. He has scored 10 centuries against Sri Lanka in this format.

Kohli may not have won any ICC trophy as captain, but he is in eighth place in terms of playing the most matches as a captain. Kohli has captained the Indian team in a total of 213 matches including Tests, ODIs, and T20s.
