The Drug Controller of India (DCGI) has permitted Bharat Biotech to test a booster dose of its nasal corona vaccine.
The dose of this intra-nasal vaccine will help in dealing with the ongoing war against Corona in the country. This corona vaccine given through the nose will be tested in nine places in the country. Bharat Biotech has achieved great success in the war against this epidemic in the country by manufacturing the indigenous vaccine Covaxin. The company is now making a nasal vaccine for a booster dose.

According to media reports, Bharat Biotech has proposed to use its nasal vaccine BBV154 as a booster dose to people who have already been vaccinated. The vaccine will be tested on people who have previously taken Covaxin. Bharat Biotech had earlier announced that the nasal vaccine manufactured by it is safe, tolerable for children. Scientists say that the intranasal vaccine will build a strong immune system in the nose and lungs. This will help protect against virus infection.
