According to the police, the woman, a resident of the Pathardi Phata area, hanged herself at around 9.30 pm on Monday. Police said they also found a suicide note near the bodies of the mother-son duo. It said that no one should be held responsible for his death.

The woman then tried to grab the karate belt lying nearby in an unconscious state, but the girl grabbed the belt and allegedly strangled her to death. When the police questioned the girl based on suspicion, she confessed to the crime. Police have registered a case against the girl under section 302 of IPC and took her into custody.
