A big statement of Harbhajan Singh has come out after retiring from international cricket. The former off-spinner has given his reaction to the fact that he was never made the captain of Team India. Harbhajan says that he did not know anyone in BCCI, maybe that is why he was not made the captain of the team.
I was not recognized on the board
Harbhajan Singh had announced his retirement from all formats of international cricket on December 24 last year. Recently, Harbhajan was asked about not being made the captain of the Indian team, then he said- Yes, no one ever questions about my captaincy. I didn't know anyone in BCCI who could put my name forward or talk about my captaincy.
He further said- If you are not the favorite of any powerful member in the board, then you cannot get much respect, but we should not talk about it now. I know I was able to captain India because we used to guide a lot of captains. Whether I was the captain of India or not, it is not a big deal. I have no regrets if I don't become the captain of my country. It has always been a pleasure for me to serve the nation as a sportsperson.
Mumbai won its first title under Harbhajan's captaincy
