The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday declared the result of the medical entrance exam NEET-UG (NEET UG 2024 Result). This year 67 candidates including 14 girls have topped the exam and shared the first rank. The top candidates scored 99.9971 percent marks. This year the highest number of 11.65 lakh candidates from Uttar Pradesh have passed the exam.
A senior NTA official said that out of the 67 top candidates, 11 are from Rajasthan. After this, eight are from Tamil Nadu and seven are from Maharashtra. This year 24.06 lakh candidates had registered for NEET. The pass percentage was 56.2 percent, the same as last year.
The NTA said that among those who passed the country's largest entrance examination for admission to MBBS and BDS courses at the undergraduate level, there are 5.47 lakh men, 7.69 lakh women and 10 transgenders. He informed me that the merit list would be prepared using the tie-breaking formula.
In this, those who get higher marks or percentage scores in Biology will be given priority after Chemistry and Physics. NTA said that the exam was conducted in 13 languages including Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, and Kannada. If we look at the state-wise performance, this time 1.42 lakh candidates from Maharashtra, 1.21 lakh from Rajasthan, and 89,426 candidates from Tamil Nadu passed the exam.
