The government has bowed down to the Gen-Z protesters who took to the streets against the social media ban and corruption prevailing in the system in Nepal. First, Nepal's Home Minister, Agriculture Minister, and Health Minister resigned, and now Nepal's PM KP Sharma Oli has resigned.

An all-party meeting was called by KP Sharma Oli at 6 pm today. The letter issued by Oli read, 'I am in talks with the concerned parties to assess the situation and draw a meaningful conclusion. For this, I have also called an all-party meeting at 6 pm today. I humbly request all brothers and sisters to maintain patience in this difficult situation.' But Oli announced his resignation even before the meeting.

The protest started on Monday.

The protest that started on Monday in protest against the Nepal government's decision to ban social media continued on Tuesday as well. On Tuesday, the level of the protest became widespread, and the youth started demanding the resignation of KP Oli on the basis of corruption, economic inequality, and government mismanagement.

By noon, hundreds of protesters entered the Prime Minister's Office, raising anti-government slogans. Oli resigned soon after. A few hours before this, protesters set fire to his private residence in Balakot, demanding accountability for the deaths.

Let us tell you that in 2019, people died in the violent protests in Nepal, while more than 200 people were injured. In view of the protests, the government withdrew the ban on social media sites last night, but the protesters are still adamant.
