The program aims to achieve all dimensions of adult education in the next five years. This scheme has been started under the new education policy. Apart from this, emphasis will also be given on vocational skill development, basic education at the elementary, middle, and secondary level, etc. to get local employment.
Continuing education under the Nav Bharat Literacy Program which includes adult education courses in arts, science, technology, culture, sports and entertainment, and life skills for the local people, etc. will be focused on. The official said that this scheme will be extended in online mode with the help of volunteers. Training sessions, workshops, etc. will also be organized in this. All the resources to help the registered volunteers will be made available through a digital medium like TV, radio, open-source apps, and portals.
