PM Modi: Modi's mantra to new IAS officers, advice to change work culture and work for the people at the grassroots level

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed the IAS officers of the 2020 batch during the conclusion of the Assistant Secretary Program 2022. During the program, the PM said that in the coming times, there is a need to develop a holistic approach with a different mindset. He asked the officers to understand the importance of innovation and make them a part of the work culture of the country. Apart from this, while working in the districts, apart from relying only digitally on one, he was advised to spend time among the people by getting into the field. At the same time, he has appealed to the officers to do such work at their place of posting, so that people always remember them.

 

 

The Prime Minister said that the country must have been celebrating independence, at that time he would have become the head and secretary of different departments. Work at the grassroots level and understand the problems of the common people and solve them. He said that everyone should remain connected with the common people as a successful officer. On this occasion, Modi addressed 175 officers working as assistant secretaries with 63 ministries and departments for three months. He said that the officers have an important role in ensuring the achievement of the goal of a developed India in the Amrit period. He highlighted the importance of thinking out of the box and adopting a holistic approach in one's endeavors. He cited the example of Pradhan Mantri Gatishakti Master Plan to demonstrate the importance of such a holistic approach.

 

Emphasizing the importance of serving the nation to the officers during the address, the Prime Minister spoke about the importance of performing their duties. He said that the mindset of 'Rajpath' has now changed into the spirit of 'Duty path'.
