Jaspal Antil said that he had been serving the Congress with all his heart for 16 years. In front of the journalists, he removed the picture of former Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda from his office.
Dahiya left the party accusing Hooda of cheating.
Jaitirth Dahiya, a close aide of former CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda, who was a two-time MLA from Rai, resigned from the party on Monday. His resignation is being considered a setback for the party. He has sent his resignation to the party state president. Jaitirth Dahiya has accused Bhupendra Hooda of betrayal and bargaining in ticket distribution. Jaitirth Dahiya has been an MLA from Rai from 2009 to 2014 and 2014 to 2019. Jaitirth Dahiya won the Rai assembly elections in 2014 by just three votes. While being an MLA, Dahiya had opened a front against the then-state president of Congress Ashok Tanwar in favor of Bhupendra Hooda and offered his resignation to the then-national president Rahul Gandhi.
