It is worth noting that on 30 November 1966, the central government banned government employees from participating in the activities of RSS. The central government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi lifted the ban imposed during the rule of Indira Gandhi, according to an order on July 9.

BJP IT cell chief Amit Malviya shared a screenshot of the Personnel Ministry's order on X and posted, that 58 years ago, the unconstitutional order issued in 1966, which banned government employees from participating in RSS activities, has been withdrawn by the Modi government. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh posted, that Sardar Patel had banned RSS in February 1948 after Gandhiji's assassination. After this, the ban was lifted on the assurance of good conduct.
