Malaysian Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, who is on a visit to India, was formally welcomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Rashtrapati Bhavan today. During this, the leaders of both countries were seen hugging each other warmly. Earlier, the Malaysian Prime Minister visited Rajghat, the mausoleum of Mahatma Gandhi in New Delhi, and paid tribute to the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi. The Malaysian Prime Minister also participated in a bilateral meeting with PM Modi.

A high-level delegation has also accompanied Ibrahim to India. This is Anwar Ibrahim's first visit to India as Prime Minister. Many important agreements are expected to be signed between the two countries on this visit of Anwar Ibrahim to India. Malaysian PM met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in Delhi.
