The electricity department is continuously conducting raids with the police force. On Sunday, electricity theft was found in 46 houses and shops in Hindupura Kheda, Raisatti and Mian Sarai. At the same time, connections of some defaulters have also been cut.

A special checking campaign is being run by the electricity department under the leadership of District Magistrate Dr. Rajendra Pansia and Superintendent of Police to stop electricity theft in the Deepa Sarai area. On Sunday morning at seven o'clock, the electricity department team reached the Deepa Sarai area with heavy PAC jawans.

 

The officials formed three teams, one team reached Deepa Sarai from Hindupura Kheda, the second team, Mian Sarai Katra Musa Khan and the third team reached Raisatti for checking. During this time, electricity theft was detected in 10 houses and shops in Hindupura Kheda Jahur Garden and 15 houses and shops in Deepa Sarai.

 

On the other hand, electricity theft was found in about 11 houses in the Raisatti area. On the other hand, separate cables were found in 10 houses in Mian Sarai. The electricity employees took immediate action and cut their cables. In total, an FIR is being lodged by the electricity department against 46 people.

Deepa Sarai area comes under the category of highly sensitive area. Earlier, when the electricity department officials used to go here for electricity checking, they had to face heavy opposition and sometimes they were even beaten up. After that, the officials stopped going to this area.
