In how many days do symptoms appear in the body after coronavirus infection? Everyone is very confused about this question. Since the beginning of the epidemic, scientists have changed the answer many times. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), symptoms are experienced 5-6 days after being exposed to the virus, but new research in Britain says that now these symptoms are visible in only 2 days.

In research, 36 people were infected with the virus

With the help of government funding, this research has been done by scientists from Imperial College London. It included 36 people aged 18 to 29 years. He was given the coronavirus through the nose after a 14-day quarantine at the Royal Free Hospital in London. Before this, these volunteers had never had an infection.

According to research, 53% of volunteers got corona disease due to this process. Among them, 16 people had symptoms like a mild cold. None of the patients became seriously ill. Scientists found that the virus could be first detected in the throat in patients. Its symptoms are at their peak on the 5th day, because then the number of viruses increases in the nose.

Symptoms of corona come first in the throat

The study's lead expert, Chris Chiu, says that the symptoms of the virus appear within 2 days of corona infection. First, people have trouble in the throat and then in the nose. After this, the virus load increases very rapidly. According to Chiu, during the research, for people who did not have any symptoms of the virus, their immunity was much better than others.

The original strain of corona used in research

In this research, scientists infected patients with SARS-CoV-2, the original form of the corona. Dr. Andrew Catchpole, involved in the study, claims that even experiments with Delta and Omicron variants will yield similar results.

Researchers say that the coronavirus can replicate and spread very rapidly. Since its viral load is highest in the nose, the chances of its transmission are highest through the nose and mouth, which is why it is very important to wear good-quality masks in crowded places and closed rooms.
