NZ vs SA: Kane Williamson made a world record in Test cricket, leaving behind legends like Steve Smith and Sachin Tendulkar.

Kane Williamson continues to perform brilliantly in Test cricket. Kane Williamson has created a world record by scoring a century in the fourth innings of the ongoing second Test against South Africa in Hamilton. Williamson has become the fastest batsman to score 32 centuries in Test cricket.

 

The New Zealand team was chasing the target of 267 runs in the second test on Friday. Kane Williamson faced the Proteas bowlers bravely at one end and scored the 32nd century of his Test career. He remained unbeaten after scoring 133 runs in 260 balls with the help of 12 fours and two sixes.

 

Williamson's world record

Kane Williamson completed his century in 203 balls. Kane Williamson completed his 32nd century in the 172nd innings of his Test career. He broke the record of Steve Smith, in whose name this record was earlier recorded. Australian batsman Steve Smith had scored 32 centuries in 174 innings.

 

Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting is in third place in terms of scoring the fastest 32 Test centuries. Former Kangaroo captain Ponting had scored his 32nd century in his 176th innings. India's great batsman Sachin Tendulkar is in fourth position on this list. Tendulkar scored his 32nd century in his 179th innings. Former Pakistan batsman Younis Khan completed the top-5 list by completing his 32nd century in 183 innings.

 

Williamson scored his third century

Kane Williamson is in great form at the moment. He scored his third century in the last four innings. Williamson scored centuries in both the innings of the first Test against South Africa. Then they played innings of 118 and 109 runs respectively. After this, he was out for 43 runs in the first innings of the second test and scored a record-unbeaten 133 runs in the second innings.

 

New Zealand clean sweeps South Africa

New Zealand defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in the second Test on Friday with the help of Kane Williamson's century. With this, the Kiwi team made a clean sweep of the Proteas 2-0 in the two-match test series. Earlier, New Zealand had defeated South Africa by a huge margin of 281 runs in the first test.
