PSL 2024: Khawaja Nafe's stormy innings overshadowed Sahibzada Farhan, and Quetta Gladiators registered a resounding win against Lahore Qalandars.

In the fourth match of Pakistan Super League 2024, Quetta Gladiators defeated Lahore Qalandars by 5 wickets. Gladiators achieved the target of 188 runs given by Lahore with 5 balls remaining. On behalf of the team, Khawaja Nafe batted in a stormy manner and scored an unbeaten 60 runs in just 31 balls at a strike rate of 193.

 

Khawaja-Shakeel played explosive innings

Quetta Gladiators, who set out to chase the target of 188 runs from Lahore, had a great start. Jason Roy and Saud Shakeel gave a strong start to the team and scored 69 runs for the first wicket in just 6.5 overs. Shakeel returned to the pavilion after scoring 40 runs in 23 balls, while Roy became the victim of Sikandar Raza after scoring 24 runs. After this, Khwaja Nafe took charge and hit a lot of fours and sixes.

 

Khawaja played a quick inning of 60 runs facing 31 balls. During this innings, Khawaja hit 4 fours and three skyscraper sixes and returned after giving victory to the team. Rutherford scored 14 runs on 12 balls, while Akil Hussain remained unbeaten on 9 runs on 9 balls.

 

Farhan played a brilliant innings

Earlier, Sahibzada Farhan created a lot of noise with the bat from Lahore Qalandars. Farhan batted brilliantly and scored 62 runs in 43 balls. Farhan hit 6 fours and three sixes during his innings.

 

Apart from Farhan, Jahandad Khan from the team batted in a stormy style and scored 45 runs in just 17 balls. Jahandad wreaked havoc with a strike rate of 264 and hit 3 fours and four skyscraper sixes, due to which the Lahore team was successful in scoring 187 runs on the scoreboard after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs.
