Odisha Train Accident: Kohli expressed grief over the Odisha train accident, Gautam Gambhir wrote – the country stands with the victims

From former India captain and legendary batsman Virat Kohli to Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra, several sportspersons expressed grief over the devastating train accident in Odisha's Balasore district. More than 260 people died in this accident. Three trains, the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express, the Shalimar-Chennai Central Coromandel Express, and a goods train were involved in the accident.

 

Kohli, who arrived in England to play in the World Test Championship, wished the injured a speedy recovery. The final of the Test Championship will be played between India and Australia at The Oval in England from June 7. Virat wrote in a tweet, "Saddened to hear about the tragic train accident in Odisha. My thoughts and prayers are with the families who lost their loved ones. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.

 

Gambhir wrote this

Former Indian opener Gautam Gambhir issued his condolences on the accident. He wrote, “Shocked by the loss of lives in Odisha. May God give strength to the bereaved families. I wish the injured a speedy recovery. The country stands with you.

 

Heartbreaking news: Abhinav Bindra

India's first individual Olympic gold medalist rifle shooter Abhinav Bindra expressed grief over the accident. He wrote, "Heartbreaking news about the devastating train accident from Odisha. My thoughts are with all those affected and their loved ones during this incredibly difficult time. Please let us all offer our support and prayers for him. With the injured a speedy recovery."

 

Shreyas Iyer and Sehwag prayed
