Responding to reporters on 'One Nation, One Election' at a press conference on the preparations for the upcoming assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Kumar said, "As per the legal procedures, the Constitution and the RP Act, we have the right to conduct elections and we Ready for this.

Apart from the chairman, the committee includes Home Minister Amit Shah, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, former Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad, former Finance Commission Chairman NK Singh, senior advocate Harish Salve, former Lok Sabha Secretary General Subhash C Kashyap and former Chief Vigilance Commissioner Sanjay.
