The first flight from Israel carrying 212 Indian citizens landed at Delhi airport on Saturday morning. During this, slogans of 'Vande Mataram' and 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' were raised by the passengers. Union Minister Rajiv Chandrashekhar welcomed the citizens at the airport. He said that our government will never leave any Indian behind. Our government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to their safety, and to bringing them back home safely. We are grateful to External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar, the team of the Ministry of External Affairs, and the crew of this Air India flight who made this possible and brought our children back home safe and healthy and back to their loved ones.

Swati Patel, a woman who came to India from Israel under Operation Ajay, said that it feels great to be here. There one feels very scared when the siren rings. One has to go to the shelter when the siren sounds. We are feeling safe here. Whenever the siren sounded, we had to go to the shelter within 1.5 minutes.

'Come to India for the future situation and your son'

Another woman said that my son was only five months old, and the place we were in was safe, but considering the future situation and for the sake of our son, we decided to come to India. The first night we were sleeping when a siren went off, we had been there for the last two years. We had never seen such a situation before. We went to the shelter, we stayed in the shelter for two hours. We are feeling much better now, I thank the Government of India and the Prime Minister.
