In the Pahalgam attack, the terrorists had asked about the religion of the tourists and shot them. 15 days after the attack, on the intervening night of 6 and 7 May, this action took place in both Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, at such places where the terrorists have their hideouts.
How did India respond?
According to the initial information, the Indian armed forces attacked with missiles inside Pakistan and PoK under Operation Sindoor. The attacks were well-planned. India targeted terrorist hideouts in Bahawalpur, Muridke, Sialkot, Bhimber, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad. It was informed quoting sources that India's missiles fell on Jaish-e-Mohammed's hideout in Bahawalpur, Muzaffarabad's Central Grid System, and Hafiz Saeed's hideout in Muridke. The head of Jaish-e-Mohammed is the same Masood Azhar, who had to be released after the IC-814 Kandahar plane hijacking case in 1999. After Masood Azhar returned to Pakistan, Bahawalpur became a major place for training terrorists. This terrorist organization has been operating from Muridke since 1990. India chose these places to target the leaders of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. After India's action, the first statement came from Pakistan's Inter Service Public Relations Director General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary. In this statement, Chaudhary accepted that India's air strike took place in the Ahmed East Area of Bahawalpur at Subhanullah Mosque, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad.
