Which locations were targeted in Pakistan?
India targeted terrorist hideouts in Bahawalpur, Muridke, Sialkot, Bhimber, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad. It was informed quoting sources that India's missiles fell on Jaish-e-Mohammed's hideout in Bahawalpur, Muzaffarabad's Central Grid System, and Hafiz Saeed's hideout in Muridke. The head of Jaish-e-Mohammed is the same Masood Azhar, who had to be released after the IC-814 Kandahar plane hijacking case in 1999. After Masood Azhar returned to Pakistan, Bahawalpur became a major place for training terrorists. At the same time, Hafiz Saeed is the head of Lashkar-e-Taiba, who is the mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Muridke is the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba. This terrorist organization has been operating from Muridke since 1990. India chose these places to target the leaders of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. Muzaffarabad and Kotli are near the Line of Control.
