Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan is lying behind the army. He threatened on Wednesday that he would reveal the name of another army officer who was involved in the murderous attack on him. Imran Khan, 70, was attacked in Wazirabad in Punjab province on Thursday during a 'long march' against Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif's government, in which he was shot in the right leg.
The former prime minister had alleged that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Home Minister Rana Sanaullah, and Major General Faisal Naseer were involved in the sinister plot to assassinate him. Khan tweeted, "I will also reveal the name of the second officer who was monitoring the execution of the conspiracy (on November 3) from 12 noon to 5 pm along with Major General Faisal.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf ready to resume Long March
Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is all set to resume its stalled 'Long March' from the Wazirabad area of Punjab province on Thursday. The march was called off after Khan was attacked in the Wazirabad area last week. Khan (70) was shot in the right leg in the attack. Two armed men carried out this attack.
He has been treated at Shaukat Khanum Hospital, owned by Khan's charitable organization. Doctors have advised him to take rest for four to six weeks. Khan had announced the resumption of the long march on Tuesday, but later the party changed its decision and decided to start the march on Thursday. March will reach Rawalpindi in 10 to 14 days and Khan will join it there.
Punjab's leader and Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid told PTI on Wednesday, "PTI Vice President and former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will lead the march from Wazirabad at 2 pm (local time) on Thursday." "The Long March will resume with prayers for those killed and injured in the firing," he said.
Imran Khan was ousted from power this year
Khan has been demanding a general election in Pakistan since he was removed from the post of Prime Minister after a no-confidence motion was passed in the National Assembly in April this year. For this demand, he has taken out a long march. However, the federal government led by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is currently opposed to holding elections. The term of the current National Assembly will end in August 2023.
