Pakistan Floods: America came forward to help Pakistan, sent from food to bed

Pakistan is currently in the grip of heavy rains and severe floods. All the countries around the world are providing help to Pakistan in this difficult time. The name of America is also included in this episode, which has helped the flood-affected people here through ten missions from C-17 and C-130 aircraft.

 

The US has provided more than one million pounds to Pakistan in the form of humanitarian aid so that it can be supplied with the things needed in times of disaster. This work is supported by the US Agency for International Development (DOD).

 

About 1,400 people have died and 12,728 others have been injured in the flood situation caused by monsoon rains in Pakistan. This has caused road damage of up to 6,674 km and destroyed more than 17 lakh houses.

 

Patrick Ryder, the spokesman for the Pentagon, the headquarters of the US Department of Defense, told reporters at a news conference on Tuesday, 'Our condolences are with those who have been affected by this horrific natural disaster.'

 

He said, “So far, the Department of Defense has supported the efforts being led by the United States Agency for International Development. This includes support from airlifts in high-risk situations to many more.

 

Ryder further says, 'The C-17 and C-130 aircraft of the US Air Force has been handed over to Central Command, through which ten missions have been conducted for Pakistan so far. These include items and equipment needed to help the people of Pakistan, amounting to more than one million pounds. We hope that this process of helping will continue for the next few days. Ryder said, the relief materials to be supplied include food, drinking water, some things related to sanitation, tents, bedding, utensils, etc.
