India and Australia have taken steps towards a great partnership in the field of education. Two top universities in Australia will soon open their campus in the country. These include Deakin University, ranked 266 in the QS rankings, and the University of Wollongong, which is among the top 10 universities there.

Both universities will open their campuses in Gujarat's GIFT City (Gujarat International Financial Tech City). Along with this, about ten other major agreements related to education will be signed between the two countries on Thursday. These include recognition of both skill and academic courses.

A high-level meeting between Claire and Pradhan

During this, a high-level meeting was also held on Wednesday between Australian Education Minister Jason Clare and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who was visiting India, to strengthen education-related ties. In which there was a long discussion on issues including the opening of the campus, starting of a joint degree course, etc. Apart from this, the Education Ministers of both countries also participated in a program at Sri Venkateswara College affiliated with Delhi University. During this, Pradhan informed me about the opening of campuses of two Australian universities soon in the country.

Universities may be announced next week

It is believed that the official announcement of the opening of campuses of both these Australian universities in the country will be made during the visit of the Prime Minister of Australia to Ahmedabad next week. During this, Dharmendra Pradhan informed me about the strong educational partnership with Australia.

He told that both countries have decided to move forward with Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam i.e. one earth, one family, and one future. An agreement has been reached between the two for better cooperation in the field of education.

During this, Australia's Education Minister Claire said that under the new National Education Policy, when India is moving fast towards a major change in the field of education, it is ready to provide all kinds of support to India. Especially by 2035, he is ready to provide every kind of cooperation to achieve the target set by him to connect more than 50 percent of the country's population with higher education and skills.

Along with the Australian Education Minister, the tour also includes former cricketer Gilchrist and Vice-Chancellors and Vice-Chancellors of Australia's top ten universities. Significantly, Gilchrist is the brand ambassador of the Australian University of Wollongong.

Australian Education Minister also reached among school children

Australian Education Minister Jason Clare, who came on a tour of India, visited the schools during this period and also interacted with the children. During this, he also saw the preparations for the implementation of the new National Education Policy in the schools. Also discussed with the officials about the policy's plan to provide sports and toy-based education. Claire, who reached India late on Tuesday night, will be on a tour of India till March 4. Meanwhile, he will also visit many higher educational institutions in the country.
