Pakistan: Imran Khan claims- the Shahbaz government delaying general elections for the appointment of army chief

Former Pakistan Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Sunday alleged that the Shahbaz Sharif-led government was delaying elections to appoint the army chief of its choice. has been Addressing his supporters during the party's meeting in Faisalabad, Imran Khan said that the current coalition government is stalling elections to "appoint the army chief of his choice", Geo News reported.

Khan said that only free and fair elections can ensure political stability in Pakistan and the government is shying away from doing so as they "want to install an army chief of their choice in November".

 

The former PM also said that the present government is the weakest government ever and it has destroyed the country within four months.

Imran said that according to the IMF, corruption is the root cause of the poor economic condition in the country. He said the government has done damage in just four months. According to the report of Geo News, he said that the government came to power only to put an end to the corruption cases against him. The PTI leader said inflation is skyrocketing, while the economy has fallen to the ground.

 

 Zulfikar Bukhari said - the country needs us

 

Meanwhile, PTI leader Syed Zulfikar Bukhari on Sunday renounced his British citizenship. He said that he would accompany former PM Imran Khan in his fight for the country. Bukhari, a close aide, and friend of Imran Khan said, the country needs us... Victory or defeat is in the hands of Allah, but we have decided to serve Pakistan.
