Vijay Thalapathy shared a selfie video of the crowd on Instagram today and captioned it, "Thank you Erode." The video shows thousands of his fans and supporters in high spirits. The massive crowd of Vijay's fans is clearly visible in the video.

Rally Arrangements

Approximately 35,000 people attended the rally. Following the Karur tragedy, strict security measures were in place. No stage was erected. Vijay delivered his speech from the roof of his campaign bus. The police deployed over 1,300 personnel, installed 60 CCTV cameras, and divided the area into 72 sections. Ambulances and medical teams were also kept on standby.

Vijay's Speech

According to an India Today report, Vijay launched a scathing attack on the ruling DMK government. He called the DMK a "negative force" and described his party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), as a "positive force." He accused the government of corruption, unfulfilled promises, and poor governance. Responding to the rumors surrounding the Karur tragedy, he stated that the law and truth would prevail.

The Film 'Jan Nayakan'

This rally is part of Vijay's political preparations ahead of the 2026 assembly elections. He will fully enter politics after completing his last film, 'Jan Nayakan,' which is scheduled for release on January 9, 2026. The film's audio launch may take place in Malaysia in December.
