Chhath Puja 2025: Vehicles will be prohibited from entering the city for Chhath Puja, and the road will be one-way; see the route chart here.

To ensure smooth traffic flow in the city on the occasion of Chhath Puja, the traffic police have issued special routes. Starting today, vehicles will operate only on designated routes. According to the instructions, there will be a complete ban on vehicular movement on several major roads from 1 pm to 9 pm on October 27th and from 2 am to 9 am on October 28th. During this period, there will be a no-entry order for all types of vehicles traveling from Pooja Talkies to City Center and from City Center, Bekarbandh Chowk to Pooja Talkies. Alternative routes will be as follows: Vehicles coming from Memco Mor will proceed to their destination via City Center, Lubi Circular Road, and Randhir Verma Chowk. Vehicles coming from Bank Mor will proceed to Pooja Talkies DRM Chowk, Randhir Verma Chowk. Vehicles going from City Center towards Memco Mor will turn right at the cut near Dhaiya Petrol Pump. A one-way system will be in effect on this route from Dhaiya Petrol Pump to Lilavati Marriage Venue.

Vehicles coming from Vinod Bihari Mahato Chowk will proceed to City Center via Chandrashekhar Azad Chowk. Alternative routes for vehicles going from Pooja Talkies to Binod Bihari Mahato Chowk via Bekarbandh will be: Pooja Talkies, DRM Chowk, Randhir Verma Chowk, City Center, Memco, Kurmidih Chowk, and Vinod Bihari Mahato Chowk. Special arrangements for buses: No buses will operate from the Bartand Bus Stand during Chhath Puja from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM on October 27th and from 2:00 AM to 9:00 AM on October 28th. All buses will operate from Memco More. Returns will also be limited to Memco More. Traffic DSP Arvind Kumar has appealed to the public to use designated routes during Chhath Puja and avoid entering restricted areas unnecessarily, to avoid inconvenience to devotees during the festival.
