Pakistan on a pile of gunpowder: Army's worst round; Shahbaz politically surrounded

In Pakistan, the political mercury has heated up amidst the knock of winter. Political developments are changing after the attack on former PM Imran Khan. Pakistan's army is going through its worst phase. This is the first time that the Pakistan Army has had to defend itself. PM Shahbaz Sharif is sitting in the lap of the army after being surrounded politically.

 

Michael Kugelman, deputy director of the Woodrow Wilson Center (Asia), said that Pakistan is politically on a pile of gunpowder. An explosion can happen at any time. Meanwhile, Imran Khan has announced to resume the long march to Islamabad on Tuesday. They will personally connect with it after a fortnight. Imran was discharged from the hospital on Sunday.

 

Controversy over FIR, Punjab IG resigns

After the attack on himself, Imran Khan is adamant about the FIR against PM, Minister, and Major General Naseer. There is a coalition government of Imran Khan in Punjab, but Punjab CM Pervez Elahi is not ready to file a case against Major General Naseer. Meanwhile, Elahi agreed to register an FIR under Imran's pressure, but Punjab IG Sakar resigned on this matter.

 

Imran supporters gathered on Faisalabad highway, dharna outside Lahore Governor House today.

 

Islamabad Police wrote letters to Sindh and Frontier Police for help.

 

Security increased in the Red Zone of Islamabad, and orders for alerts were issued to the army as well.

 

Emraan left Shah Rukh behind in acting: Maulana Fazal

Maulana Fazal of JUI, an ally in the Shahbaz government, has taunted Imran Khan. He said that in acting, Imran has left behind even Bollywood stars Shahrukh Khan and Salman. Fazal claimed that Imran did not get any bullets. Imran has set the country on fire in the name of an attack on himself.

 

Major General Naseer's siege intensifies

Imran's party PTI has blamed PM Shahbaz, his minister Sanaullah and Major General Faisal Naseer for the attack. PTI spokesperson Asad Umar said that all three accused already had information about the attack. All three should be removed from office. If these are not removed then the demonstrations will be intensified all over the country.
