Pakistan: After the attack, Imran Khan decided to stop the march, and said - will start after recovery

Former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan said on Friday that he is stopping his march in the capital Islamabad. He took this decision when one day an assailant opened fire on his convoy. Imran Khan was injured in the attack and one of his supporters was killed. Also, 13 other people were injured in the attack.

 

Imran decided to stop the march

Imran Khan spoke to reporters late on Friday night. In his first statement since his injury, Khan said he would resume his protest once he recovers. Let us tell you that the protest marches and rallies of Imran Khan, started last Friday. Wazirabad in Punjab province was peaceful till Thursday's attack. After the firing incident, a situation of political instability has arisen in Pakistan. This kind of history has happened in Pakistan in the past as well.

Will start marching after recovery

Imran Khan said, 'As soon as I recover, I have decided that I will be back on the streets and call for Islamabad March'. He said he knew he could be targeted in the attack. Khan has accused Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan, and Army General Faisal Naseer, who works for the Inter-Services Intelligence Agency, of plotting the attack.

 

Government denies Imran's allegations

Imran Khan has offered no evidence for his allegations, although Sharif's government rejected them. The spy agency also dismissed Khan's allegations, saying there was no truth in his words. The Pakistan government says it has ordered a high-level inquiry. Police said the shooter, who was arrested on the spot of the attack, is also being questioned on Friday. On Thursday, local police officials released a video showing the man, who is said to have carried out the shooting alone.
