Pakistan's attitude cooled down after Operation Sindoor, PM Shahbaz Sharif appealed for 'peace talks'

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday proposed talks with India. He says that Pakistan wants to hold talks with India to restore peace.

 

In fact, on Thursday, Pakistan PM Shahbaz Sharif visited Kamra Airbase in Punjab. During this visit, he addressed the military officials and the army and discussed the India-Pak tension under Operation Sindoor.

 

Statement of Pak PM

 

Shahbaz Sharif said at Kamra Airbase -

 

"We are ready to talk about peace with India. This will also include the Kashmir issue."

 

Said this on Kashmir

 

Talking about Kashmir, Shahbaz Sharif said, "India has made Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh a union territory. India always insists that Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh are its integral parts and will always remain so."

During this address at Kamra Airbase, Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Army Chief General Munir, and Air Force Chief Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu were also present.

 

The Foreign Minister had responded.

 

No official statement has come from India on the offer of the Pakistani PM. However, while inaugurating the Honduras embassy on Thursday, Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar had made it clear that the only thing left to discuss on Kashmir is when Pakistan will vacate the illegally occupied Indian areas in PoK?
